The Skiers Plaza is commonly seen as the base of Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain of the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort. It is here where the main gondolas for the two mountains meet up, and the ski runs for both mountains tend to terminate here. Adjacent to the plaza is Whistler Village itself.

The Whistler Olympic Plaza, formerly known as the Whistler Celebration Park or the Whistler Medals Plaza, was the location of the nightly medals ceremonies and public broadcast viewing area during the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. After the Games, it was converted to an outdoor events venue and inclusive/accessible playground for children.

Home to the world's highest and longest unsupported cable car span in the world, Whistler Blackcomb is also the largest ski resort in North America.
